1111 Lincoln Road is a multi-use parking structure that is listed in the American Institute of Architects’ Florida Chapter –Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places. The structure was designed by the firm Herzog & de Meuron who is also known for designing the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Hong Kong for the 2008 Bejing Olympics. The open air design is often described as a “house of cards” but is classified as tropical modernism. The first two floors contain mixed use office and retail space, the fifth floor has an iconic all glass fashion boutique, and a restaurant and luxury apartments on the roof. The seventh floor is a parking deck that is often converted into event space for up to 700 people and has hosted weddings, dinner parties, wine tastings, and yoga classes. Visitors can walk up to any of the parking decks free of charge. Visitors who wish to park will have to pay $30 per hour to use 1111 Lincoln Road.
