Jennifer Lopez at Club Liv for Pre Superbowl Bash

Jennifer Lopez in catsuit at Liv Nightclub

Yet another reason to hate JLo – the 40 year old Jennifer Lopez daringly showed off her body in a brown spangled catsuit in a sparkling private performance at Miami’s exclusive Liv nightclub on the morning before the New Orleans Saints’ dramatic Super Bowl win. The A-list celebrity then wowed the crowd with a sizzling set of songs, dancing in diamante-encrusted high heeled boots designed by Christian Loubotin.

Lopez was backed by fully-clad male dancers half her age. Although her catsuit was not see-through, the audience could clearly see that she had fully recovered from giving birth to twins in February, 2008.

Fashionably Late

Lopez’ set was to have started at 1am, but could not make it to the stage until 2am. Lopez’ representatives would not say whether trying to get into the catsuit was any reason for the tardiness. The crowd at the Axe Lounge was very forgiving. Among the head-bobbing-crowd were Jessica Alba, actor Chace Crawford and “The Hills” Audrina Patridge.

Although Lopez often wears outfits only once, she seems to have an unusual (or frugal) fondness for the catsuit. She appeared in the same outfit during the live broadcast of “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” in New York City. Her performance then prompted host Ryan Seacrest to quip, “Thanks for making my year.” Lopez has since been heavily criticised for wearing the outfit. Although skin-tight, it is large enough for the singer to bend easily, making noticeable wrinkles on her limbs.

Football Connection

Lopez and singer-songwriter husband Marc Anthony may have found the pre-Super Bowl party bittersweet. Although proud that the game is held in Miami, the pair are also part owner of the Miami Dolphins, which crashed and burned early in the NFL season. The famous pair did attend the Super Bowl.

On Saturday, Lopez participated as official coin-tosser in a Miami celebrity football beach tournament. Although not wearing a catsuit, the singer still looked enviable in white jeans, several arm bracelets and a white T-shirt with a sparkling “Love” statue emblem upon it. Since Direct TV was sponsoring the charity game, Lopez eventually changed into a Direct TV T-shirt.
