Hotel Victor Reviews – South Beach Miami

Located right in the heart of South Beach in Miami Beach the Hotel Victor, a Hyatt property, is one of the tastefully and lovingly restored Art Deco treasures for which this area is so well-known. This landmark hotel was designed by famed deco architect L. Murray Dixon and opened its doors in 1937 as the Victor Hotel. Because of its location on Ocean Drive adjacent to the Versace Mansion and directly across from the beach, it became a hub of the celebrities and socialites of its time. After a $48 million redesign overseen by renowned decorator Jacques Garcia, the doors were reopened in 2003 and the Hotel Victor swiftly became the destination for the glitterati. Garcia did a masterful job of combining restoration of the fabulous original architecture with the addition of modern amenities and luxuries which today’s upscale traveller has come to expect, while also giving this landmark building a facelift both inside and out. The result is breathtaking, and uniquely SoBe in style.
