Created by singer Lenny Kravitz, the Florida Room is one of the most stunning and hip clubs to hit the South Beach scene. Located in the ground floor of the Delano Hotel, the Florida Room has a classy vibe to it unlike many other “trendier” type of clubs found in South Beach.
The Florida Room is styled after a piano lounge, and is very reminiscent of the 1950’s era. Because it’s located in the Delano Hotel, it is a great idea to stay at the hotel and visit the lounge during the day or night. The lounge often features live musical performances early in the evening. Later on in the night, typically a DJ takes over and the night livens up with a younger crowd.
The Florida Room can be an exclusive scene to get into, but once inside, is highly worth it. Some of the most beautiful women of South Beach frequently visit, others go to hear the renowned Brendan O’Hara play the piano. People lucky enough to make it in will often be met with a spectacular crowd. Everyone from high-powered businessmen to the most gorgeous celebrities visit to enjoy a vibrant social atmosphere and high-quality drink. Celebrities like Mary Kate Olsen, Kirsten Dunst, and even Marilyn Manson have been spotted hanging out at the Florida Room.
